# Communicar vs Medi

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Communicar at 100% against Medi's 67%. Communicar also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). Medi's advantage is update cadence (every 4 months vs every 36 months) and rating (4.6 vs 4.3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Medi holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Medi has 124 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Communicar's written reviews are positive against 67% of Medi's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Communicar ships an update every 36 months, Medi every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on June 1, 2026 and July 21, 2026 respectively.
