# Parro vs ObsIdentify

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ObsIdentify at 58% against Parro's 14%. Parro's advantage is rating (2.3 vs 2.0) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Parro holds the better App Store score, 2.3 against 2.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 5 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 14% of Parro's written reviews are positive against 58% of ObsIdentify's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Parro ships an update every 9 days, ObsIdentify every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
