# VPN Secure Proxy vs VPN Pro

VPN Secure Proxy and VPN Pro both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 71% of VPN Secure Proxy's written reviews are positive against 53% of VPN Pro's. VPN Secure Proxy also leads on ratings volume (43K vs 5.8K) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN Secure Proxy sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and VPN Pro sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for VPN Secure Proxy against 4.5 for VPN Pro. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN Secure Proxy has 43K ratings behind it against 5.8K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 71% of VPN Secure Proxy's written reviews are positive against 53% of VPN Pro's.

VPN Secure Proxy ships an update every 6 weeks, VPN Pro monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
