# VPN Secure Proxy vs VPN Sense

The clearest difference is ads: VPN Sense at none against VPN Secure Proxy's shown. VPN Sense also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). VPN Secure Proxy's advantage is ratings volume (43K vs 405) and review sentiment (71% vs 53%). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN Secure Proxy sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and VPN Sense sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for VPN Secure Proxy against 4.4 for VPN Sense. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN Secure Proxy has 43K ratings behind it against 405, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 71% of VPN Secure Proxy's written reviews are positive against 53% of VPN Sense's.

VPN Secure Proxy ships an update every 6 weeks, VPN Sense fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
