# VPN Secure Proxy vs Secure VPN Proxy

The clearest difference is monetization model: VPN Secure Proxy at free with in-app purchases against Secure VPN Proxy's subscription. VPN Secure Proxy also leads on ratings volume (42K vs 4.6K). Secure VPN Proxy's advantage is review sentiment (85% vs 71%). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN Secure Proxy sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Secure VPN Proxy sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for VPN Secure Proxy against 4.6 for Secure VPN Proxy. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN Secure Proxy has 42K ratings behind it against 4.6K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 71% of VPN Secure Proxy's written reviews are positive against 85% of Secure VPN Proxy's.

VPN Secure Proxy ships an update every 6 weeks, Secure VPN Proxy monthly. Both last shipped on October 13, 2026.
