# Smart Optometry vs The Stereogram/Magic Eye

The clearest difference is rating: Smart Optometry at 4.4 against The Stereogram/Magic Eye's 3.6. Smart Optometry also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (529 vs 5). The Stereogram/Magic Eye's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Smart Optometry sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. The Stereogram/Magic Eye asks for nothing beyond the download.

Smart Optometry holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Smart Optometry has 529 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 42% of Smart Optometry's written reviews are positive against 50% of The Stereogram/Magic Eye's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
