# Letterboxd vs QuickSave

Letterboxd and QuickSave both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of QuickSave's written reviews are positive against 59% of Letterboxd's. QuickSave also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ads (none vs shown). Letterboxd's advantage is ratings volume (88K vs 11) and chart position (#16 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Letterboxd sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $18.99 per year. QuickSave asks for nothing beyond the download.

QuickSave holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Letterboxd has 88K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 59% of Letterboxd's written reviews are positive against 100% of QuickSave's.

Letterboxd ships an update fortnightly, QuickSave weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 8, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
