# zFuse vs ELK PLAYER

zFuse and ELK PLAYER both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 80% of zFuse's written reviews are positive against 11% of ELK PLAYER's. zFuse also leads on update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 15 months) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 4). ELK PLAYER's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. zFuse sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and ELK PLAYER sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

zFuse holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: zFuse has 1.2K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 80% of zFuse's written reviews are positive against 11% of ELK PLAYER's.

zFuse ships an update every 4 weeks, ELK PLAYER every 15 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
