# PitPat vs Dog Walks

The clearest difference is rating: Dog Walks at 5.0 against PitPat's 4.1. Dog Walks also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). PitPat's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (12 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PitPat sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Dog Walks sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $5.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dog Walks holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PitPat has 12 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 27% of PitPat's written reviews are positive against 33% of Dog Walks's.

PitPat ships an update fortnightly, Dog Walks every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
