# ThermoLinx vs Maytag

The clearest difference is rating: Maytag at 4.7 against ThermoLinx's 1.7. Maytag also leads on ratings volume (46K vs 7). ThermoLinx's advantage is review sentiment (44% vs 30%) and iOS requirement (10.3 vs 16.1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Maytag holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 1.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Maytag has 46K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of ThermoLinx's written reviews are positive against 30% of Maytag's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ThermoLinx ships an update every 6 weeks, Maytag every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
