# Secure by Frontier vs WREC

The clearest difference is rating: Secure by Frontier at 4.2 against WREC's 2.9. Secure by Frontier also leads on ratings volume (407 vs 12). WREC's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Secure by Frontier sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. WREC asks for nothing beyond the download.

Secure by Frontier holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Secure by Frontier has 407 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of Secure by Frontier's written reviews are positive against 25% of WREC's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Secure by Frontier ships an update every 5 months, WREC every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
