# Jottacloud vs FileLu

The clearest difference is review sentiment: FileLu at 91% against Jottacloud's 54%. FileLu also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). Jottacloud's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (68 vs 7). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Jottacloud sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and FileLu sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FileLu holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Jottacloud has 68 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 54% of Jottacloud's written reviews are positive against 91% of FileLu's.

Jottacloud ships an update fortnightly, FileLu every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
