# Jottacloud vs Hivenet

Jottacloud and Hivenet both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 78% of Hivenet's written reviews are positive against 54% of Jottacloud's. Jottacloud's advantage is ratings volume (68 vs 9). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Jottacloud sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Hivenet sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Jottacloud against 4.6 for Hivenet. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Jottacloud has 68 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 54% of Jottacloud's written reviews are positive against 78% of Hivenet's.

Jottacloud ships an update fortnightly, Hivenet every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
