Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Offline Map at none against GPS Data's shown. Offline Map also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.4) and review sentiment (89% vs 77%). GPS Data's advantage is ratings volume (458 vs 44). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Offline Map sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and GPS Data sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Offline Map holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GPS Data has 458 ratings behind it against 44, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 89% of Offline Map's written reviews are positive against 77% of GPS Data's.
Offline Map ships an update every 3 weeks, GPS Data fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
