# Drawing Box Pro vs Tayasui Doodle Book

Drawing Box Pro and Tayasui Doodle Book both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 88% of Drawing Box Pro's written reviews are positive against 47% of Tayasui Doodle Book's. Drawing Box Pro also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 13.0). Tayasui Doodle Book's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (124 vs 27). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Drawing Box Pro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Tayasui Doodle Book sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tayasui Doodle Book holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 27 and 124 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of Drawing Box Pro's written reviews are positive against 47% of Tayasui Doodle Book's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Drawing Box Pro ships an update every 6 weeks, Tayasui Doodle Book fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
