# Typesy vs Notable Stories

The clearest difference is rating: Notable Stories at 5.0 against Typesy's 4.5. Typesy's advantage is ratings volume (186 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Typesy sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and Notable Stories sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notable Stories holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Typesy has 186 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Typesy ships an update monthly, Notable Stories every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
