# AUM vs Decent Sampler

The clearest difference is price: Decent Sampler at Free against AUM's $24.99. Decent Sampler also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months). AUM's advantage is review sentiment (82% vs 52%) and ratings volume (534 vs 53). On rating, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Decent Sampler is free to download; AUM costs $24.99 up front. AUM sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Decent Sampler sells 60 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for AUM against 4.6 for Decent Sampler. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AUM has 534 ratings behind it against 53, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 82% of AUM's written reviews are positive against 52% of Decent Sampler's.

AUM ships an update every 3 months, Decent Sampler weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
