# SURF vs Herzauskultation

The clearest difference is update cadence: Herzauskultation at every 2 months against SURF's every 5 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SURF sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $99.99 per year and Herzauskultation sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SURF ships an update every 5 months, Herzauskultation every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
