# Pickster vs Gift Xchanger

Pickster and Gift Xchanger both sit at 3.3 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Gift Xchanger's written reviews are positive against 44% of Pickster's. Pickster's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 77 months) and ratings volume (64 vs 8). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pickster sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Gift Xchanger sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.3 for Pickster against 3.4 for Gift Xchanger. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pickster has 64 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 44% of Pickster's written reviews are positive against 100% of Gift Xchanger's.

Pickster ships an update every 2 months, Gift Xchanger every 77 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
