# BYOChannel vs SonarMood

The clearest difference is update cadence: SonarMood at fortnightly against BYOChannel's every 5 weeks. SonarMood also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BYOChannel sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month and SonarMood sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BYOChannel ships an update every 5 weeks, SonarMood fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
