# AMI Player Pro vs EQ

The clearest difference is price: EQ at Free against AMI Player Pro's $2.99. EQ also leads on rating (4.8 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (22 vs 2). AMI Player Pro's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and review sentiment (100% vs 90%). On update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

EQ is free to download; AMI Player Pro costs $2.99 up front. EQ sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. AMI Player Pro asks for nothing beyond the download.

EQ holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EQ has 22 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of AMI Player Pro's written reviews are positive against 90% of EQ's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AMI Player Pro ships an update fortnightly, EQ every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
