# Dunkin' vs The Spot DMV

The clearest difference is monetization model: The Spot DMV at free against Dunkin''s free with in-app purchases. The Spot DMV also leads on review sentiment (65% vs 44%). Dunkin''s advantage is ratings volume (1.4M vs 969) and chart position (#26 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Dunkin' against 4.9 for The Spot DMV. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dunkin' has 1.4M ratings behind it against 969, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 44% of Dunkin''s written reviews are positive against 65% of The Spot DMV's.

Dunkin' ships an update every 5 weeks, The Spot DMV every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
