# Markham Communicator vs Nexxt Home

The clearest difference is rating: Nexxt Home at 4.7 against Markham Communicator's 2.7. Nexxt Home also leads on ratings volume (2.7K vs 15) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 18.6). Markham Communicator's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months) and review sentiment (60% vs 35%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Nexxt Home holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nexxt Home has 2.7K ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Markham Communicator's written reviews are positive against 35% of Nexxt Home's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Markham Communicator ships an update fortnightly, Nexxt Home every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
