# Ask PHill vs WPD Reader

The clearest difference is price: Ask PHill at Free against WPD Reader's $4.99. Ask PHill also leads on review sentiment (50% vs 36%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). WPD Reader's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 3.0) and ads (none vs shown). On update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Ask PHill is free to download; WPD Reader costs $4.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

WPD Reader holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WPD Reader has 120 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Ask PHill's written reviews are positive against 36% of WPD Reader's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
