# Improv Tonight vs Ravinia

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Improv Tonight at 79% against Ravinia's 14%. Improv Tonight also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 12 months). Ravinia's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (6.3K vs 20). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Ravinia holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ravinia has 6.3K ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 79% of Improv Tonight's written reviews are positive against 14% of Ravinia's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Improv Tonight ships an update every 2 months, Ravinia every 12 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
