# UniFi vs LiquidFiles

The clearest difference is review sentiment: LiquidFiles at 100% against UniFi's 47%. LiquidFiles also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). UniFi's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 9 months) and ratings volume (25K vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

LiquidFiles holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: UniFi has 25K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 47% of UniFi's written reviews are positive against 100% of LiquidFiles's.

UniFi ships an update fortnightly, LiquidFiles every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
