# UniFi vs EdgeServ POS

The clearest difference is update cadence: UniFi at fortnightly against EdgeServ POS's every 6 months. UniFi also leads on ratings volume (25K vs 33). EdgeServ POS's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for UniFi against 4.8 for EdgeServ POS. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: UniFi has 25K ratings behind it against 33, so its average is the more settled of the two.
