# emberconnect vs Find My Location

The clearest difference is rating: Find My Location at 4.2 against emberconnect's 1.6. Find My Location also leads on ratings volume (2.3K vs 20) and chart position (#105 vs unranked). emberconnect's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5) and ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Find My Location sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per 7 days. emberconnect asks for nothing beyond the download.

Find My Location holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 1.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Find My Location has 2.3K ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of emberconnect's written reviews are positive against 9% of Find My Location's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
