# Case Hack vs Case Opener

The clearest difference is rating: Case Opener at 4.7 against Case Hack's 4.0. Case Opener also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 7 months). Case Hack's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (58% vs 47%). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Case Hack sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Case Opener sells 20 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Case Opener holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 117 and 233 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of Case Hack's written reviews are positive against 47% of Case Opener's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Case Hack ships an update every 7 months, Case Opener every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
