# Drum Pad Machine vs Beatlander

The clearest difference is monetization model: Drum Pad Machine at freemium against Beatlander's subscription. Drum Pad Machine also leads on ratings volume (675K vs 192) and chart position (#173 vs unranked). Beatlander's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). On price, rating and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Drum Pad Machine sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Beatlander sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Drum Pad Machine against 4.7 for Beatlander. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Drum Pad Machine has 675K ratings behind it against 192, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 63% of Drum Pad Machine's written reviews are positive against 55% of Beatlander's.

Drum Pad Machine ships an update every 3 months, Beatlander monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 8, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
