# My C Spire vs CEC Connect

The clearest difference is review sentiment: CEC Connect at 100% against My C Spire's 53%. CEC Connect also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). My C Spire's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 2.9) and ratings volume (28K vs 12). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

My C Spire holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: My C Spire has 28K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 53% of My C Spire's written reviews are positive against 100% of CEC Connect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

My C Spire ships an update every 6 weeks, CEC Connect every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
