# Safeguard vs ETM.next

The clearest difference is update cadence: ETM.next at every 9 days against Safeguard's every 6 weeks. ETM.next also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Safeguard ships an update every 6 weeks, ETM.next every 9 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
