# HF Log vs Sodium Tracker

The clearest difference is rating: HF Log at 5.0 against Sodium Tracker's 4.5. HF Log also leads on monetization model (free vs freemium) and iOS requirement (8.2 vs 16.0). Sodium Tracker's advantage is ratings volume (1.6K vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HF Log sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Sodium Tracker sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

HF Log holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sodium Tracker has 1.6K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
