# SubVi vs Language Readers

The clearest difference is update cadence: Language Readers at every 4 days against SubVi's fortnightly. SubVi's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SubVi sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Language Readers sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SubVi ships an update fortnightly, Language Readers every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
