# Drive Sally vs Via Driver

The clearest difference is rating: Via Driver at 4.3 against Drive Sally's 3.0. Via Driver also leads on ratings volume (4.4K vs 4). Drive Sally's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Via Driver holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Via Driver has 4.4K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of Drive Sally's written reviews are positive against 22% of Via Driver's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Drive Sally ships an update monthly, Via Driver every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
