# InterNations vs Mapin

The clearest difference is rating: InterNations at 4.6 against Mapin's 3.0. InterNations also leads on ratings volume (5.2K vs 2). Mapin's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5) and ads (none vs shown). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. InterNations sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per month. Mapin asks for nothing beyond the download.

InterNations holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: InterNations has 5.2K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of InterNations's written reviews are positive against 50% of Mapin's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

InterNations ships an update every 2 months, Mapin every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
