Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Wallpy at 4.8 against Wallora's 4.1. Wallpy also leads on update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 13 months) and ratings volume (1.3K vs 22). Wallora's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wallpy sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Wallora asks for nothing beyond the download.
Wallpy holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wallpy has 1.3K ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 67% of Wallora's written reviews are positive against 86% of Wallpy's.
Wallora ships an update every 13 months, Wallpy every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
