# Securus Mobile vs Offender Watch Parent

The clearest difference is rating: Securus Mobile at 4.6 against Offender Watch Parent's 2.0. Securus Mobile also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ratings volume (50K vs 26). Offender Watch Parent's advantage is review sentiment (28% vs 13%) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.6). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Offender Watch Parent sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Securus Mobile asks for nothing beyond the download.

Securus Mobile holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Securus Mobile has 50K ratings behind it against 26, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of Securus Mobile's written reviews are positive against 28% of Offender Watch Parent's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
