# Rain Bird vs WasteWizard

Rain Bird and WasteWizard both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of WasteWizard's written reviews are positive against 31% of Rain Bird's. Rain Bird's advantage is ratings volume (70K vs 4) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Rain Bird against 4.8 for WasteWizard. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rain Bird has 70K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 31% of Rain Bird's written reviews are positive against 100% of WasteWizard's.

Rain Bird ships an update every 2 months, WasteWizard every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
