# Rain Bird vs Maaltrack

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Maaltrack at 100% against Rain Bird's 31%. Maaltrack also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). Rain Bird's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (79K vs 6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Rain Bird holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rain Bird has 79K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of Rain Bird's written reviews are positive against 100% of Maaltrack's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Rain Bird ships an update every 2 months, Maaltrack every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
