# Rain Bird vs Equiptic

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Rain Bird at 70K against Equiptic's 1. Rain Bird also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Equiptic's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Equiptic holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rain Bird has 70K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Rain Bird ships an update every 2 months, Equiptic fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
