# Lap Counter vs Orbit

The clearest difference is device support: Lap Counter at 3 against Orbit's 1. Orbit's advantage is iOS requirement (16.4 vs 26.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lap Counter sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Orbit sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 12, 2026 respectively.
