# PHP Bites vs DataCamp

The clearest difference is rating: DataCamp at 4.8 against PHP Bites's 3.8. DataCamp also leads on ratings volume (4.8K vs 10) and review sentiment (72% vs 50%). PHP Bites's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PHP Bites sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and DataCamp sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $35.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DataCamp holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DataCamp has 4.8K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 50% of PHP Bites's written reviews are positive against 72% of DataCamp's.

PHP Bites ships an update every 5 weeks, DataCamp fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
