# Stack's Bowers Galleries vs PeerMetals

The clearest difference is ads: Stack's Bowers Galleries at none against PeerMetals's shown. Stack's Bowers Galleries also leads on rating (4.3 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (267 vs 8). PeerMetals's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 70%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Stack's Bowers Galleries holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Stack's Bowers Galleries has 267 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of Stack's Bowers Galleries's written reviews are positive against 100% of PeerMetals's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Stack's Bowers Galleries ships an update every 3 months, PeerMetals every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
