# HitCheck vs Evolve Baseball

The clearest difference is rating: Evolve Baseball at 5.0 against HitCheck's 4.0. Evolve Baseball also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). HitCheck's advantage is ratings volume (76 vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Evolve Baseball holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HitCheck has 76 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

HitCheck ships an update every 3 months, Evolve Baseball every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
