# Extempore vs GrizzlySAFE

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Extempore at 49% against GrizzlySAFE's 0%. Extempore also leads on ratings volume (85 vs 8). GrizzlySAFE's advantage is rating (3.3 vs 2.4) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

GrizzlySAFE holds the better App Store score, 3.3 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Extempore has 85 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 49% of Extempore's written reviews are positive against 0% of GrizzlySAFE's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
