# IC References vs Sermon Log

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Sermon Log at 95% against IC References's 0%. Sermon Log also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (41 vs 2). IC References's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sermon Log sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. IC References asks for nothing beyond the download.

IC References holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sermon Log has 41 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of IC References's written reviews are positive against 95% of Sermon Log's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

IC References ships an update every 2 months, Sermon Log weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
