# Four Plus vs WordScout

The clearest difference is ads: WordScout at none against Four Plus's shown. Four Plus's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 18.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Four Plus sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and WordScout sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Four Plus ships an update every 2 months, WordScout every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
