# CATCHPLAY+ vs Moviez

The clearest difference is rating: CATCHPLAY+ at 4.4 against Moviez's 3.0. CATCHPLAY+ also leads on ratings volume (114 vs 4) and device support (4 vs 2). Moviez's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 24) and ads (none vs shown). On price and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CATCHPLAY+ sells 22 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Moviez asks for nothing beyond the download.

CATCHPLAY+ holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CATCHPLAY+ has 114 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of CATCHPLAY+'s written reviews are positive against 50% of Moviez's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CATCHPLAY+ ships an update every 3 weeks, Moviez monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
