# OpticsPlanet.com vs Heat Fleet

The clearest difference is ratings volume: OpticsPlanet.com at 16K against Heat Fleet's 4. Heat Fleet's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks) and review sentiment (100% vs 92%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for OpticsPlanet.com against 5.0 for Heat Fleet. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OpticsPlanet.com has 16K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 92% of OpticsPlanet.com's written reviews are positive against 100% of Heat Fleet's.

OpticsPlanet.com ships an update every 5 weeks, Heat Fleet every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
